Welcome to Greetly. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and GreetlyAI (“Greetly,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Greetly website, applications, and services (the “Service”). By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Greetly is an AI-powered educational guidance and tutoring service. When you chat, talk, or work on the whiteboard with Greetly, you are interacting with artificial intelligence, not a human, unless a human counselor session is explicitly scheduled as part of a paid plan.
Greetly is not a crisis service. If you or someone you know is in crisis or considering self-harm, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, US) or contact local emergency services immediately. As described in our Privacy Policy, if a conversation suggests risk of harm to a student, we may alert a trusted adult — this is the only circumstance in which conversation content is escalated.
Greetly teaches; it does not do your work for you. The essay tools give feedback on your own writing and will not ghostwrite assignments. You are responsible for complying with your school’s academic integrity and honor-code policies, including its rules about the use of AI tools.
Voice conversations and camera features are optional. The camera is off unless you turn it on, and camera video is processed in real time to help you — it is never stored. Students under 18 should use camera features with parent or guardian permission. Voice conversations are transcribed so Greetly can remember what you worked on, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Keep your login credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
You agree not to:
You own the content you create (your writing, drawings, and messages). You grant us the license needed to operate the Service — to process, store, and display your content to you and, where you direct (for example, progress summaries to your parent), to others. The Service itself — including our software, teaching strategies, prompts, and branding — belongs to Greetly and its licensors.
Greetly is currently in early access; core features are free while we build. When paid plans launch, pricing and any additional payment terms will be presented clearly before you are charged, and fair-use limits for each plan are described on our pricing page. We will never charge you without your explicit signup for a paid plan.
You may stop using Greetly and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8, 11, and 12) survive.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GREETLY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Greetly is evolving quickly; features may change. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will post the updated Terms here and update the date above, and for significant changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify account holders. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California.
